After more than 20 successful years, the Sable project ended production on December 31, 2018. The project was Canada’s first offshore natural gas development project, and brought significant benefits to Nova Scotia and the surrounding region.

The project is operated by ExxonMobil Canada, and Imperial is a nine percent partner.

Imperial's Sarnia operation is the most integrated fuels, chemicals manufacturing and petroleum research facility in Canada. The refinery can process about 120,000 barrels of crude oil daily. This crude oil is processed into a wide range of products for heat and transportation.
