Billion Barrel Scholarship

Scholarship details

Two $5,000 scholarships will be awarded annually to students in the Lakeland area who are pursuing post-secondary education
• Recipients must attend their educational institution for one month prior to receiving the award payment

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a recent graduate of a Lakeland area high school (within current or previous calendar year)
• Must be enrolled as a first-year, full-time student at an accredited Canadian College or University (proof of acceptance is required)
• Program of study must be a minimum of two academic years

Selection process

Awards will be based on:
• Academic merit
• Leadership and community involvement
• Programs that support the petroleum industry will be given preference

Completed Applications must be received by June 1.
