Syncrude

Imperial Oil is one of the founders and a 25 percent owner of Syncrude Canada, a mining and upgrading operation in the Athabasca oil sands region near Fort McMurray, Alberta. Syncrude is one of the world's largest producers of crude oil from oil sands.
