Revitalized Edmonton park is a gathering place for all ages

Imperial donates $10,000 towards Capilano community park redevelopment.

In June 2017, the Capilano Community League held a ceremony to celebrate the completion of a multi-phase project to create their vision of a park for all ages. The final phase included the installation of a 700-metre walking trail loop, adult exercise equipment stations, a bike bumps course, additional park benches and picnic tables, a picnic shelter and a community events sign.
Imperial has been a part of the community since the first refinery was built here in 1948. We believe in building strong, vibrant communities, so it just made sense to support the Capilano Community League’s Capilano community park redevelopment project with a $10,000 donation.

“Edmontonians value their green space and it was an opportunity for us to support our neighbour’s ‘Park for All Ages’ in this beautiful green space in the heart of Capilano,” says Karen Reiter-Stecyk, Imperial Community Relations Advisor.

The park will continue to be a vibrant and engaging hub in the community for many years to come.
