Notification of Investor Meeting webcast

| Imperial Oil will host an Investor Meeting on Tuesday, November 30, 2004. At this half-day event each member of Imperial's senior management will present a comprehensive review of the business and will be available for questions at the end of the formal presentations. The company's management will also include an update on the company's current and new opportunities including Cold Lake, Mackenzie Gas Project, the Kearl oil sands project and Orphan Basin, as well as provide an update on key initiatives in Imperial's downstream operations.
