Nanticoke Imperial acquired the Nanticoke refinery in 1989. Today approximately 25 per cent of petroleum products sold in Ontario originate from the refinery. The refinery supplies the Quebec, Ontario and US markets with a variety of essential products including gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, asphalt, propane and propylene. It has a daily rated production capacity of 118,000 barrels and a staff of more than 400 employees and contractors.
